Udyam Registration is the new process for registering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, i.e MSME. It was introduced by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises on July 1, 2020, and has revised the definition of MSMEs from the same date.
An enterprise for this specific process is termed Udyam and its process of registration is known as Udyam Registration. A Permanent Registration Number will be issued after registration.
Since July 2020, the Udyog Aadhaar registration has been transformed into the Udyam registration. Udyam registration has made the process more simpler and accessible than at the time of Udyog Aadhaar registration.
Please Note:-
Any individual who wishes to establish an MSME can file online (i.e at the Udyam Registration portal) for Udyam Registration, based on their self-declaration. In addition, there is no need to upload any proof, certificates, papers, or documents.
On registration, a Permanent Identification Number will be assigned to Enterprise, also referred to as “Udyam” in the Udyam Registration portal.
Udyam Registration Certificate, an e-certificate will be issued once the process of registration is complete.
